Make plastics work harder.
At Panel Graphic, we develop and apply specialist protective coatings for plastics that improve the performance of acrylic, polycarbonate and other suitable plastic substrates.
From abrasion resistant hard coatings and anti-glare finishes to anti-reflection, anti-fog, antimicrobial, anti-static and conductive coatings, our surface treatments are designed around the requirements of the finished component.
Whether you need to make plastic harder, easier to clean, less reflective, more chemically resistant, more hygienic or electrically functional, we can help identify the right coating technology for your application.
Our Optiguard™ coating range is developed, applied and inspected in-house at our UK manufacturing facility in Norfolk.

Plastic is an incredibly versatile material, but the natural properties of a plastic substrate aren’t always enough for the environment in which the finished component will be used.
A display window may need greater scratch resistance.
A touchscreen may need an easy-clean, anti-fingerprint surface.
An automotive display may need improved sunlight readability.
A medical component may require antimicrobial properties.
An optical window may need extremely low reflection.
A component used outdoors may need additional environmental durability.
The right surface coating can transform the performance of the underlying plastic.
Plastic surface coatings work by adding a specially engineered functional layer to the surface of a substrate. Depending on the technology selected, this can introduce properties that aren’t available from the base material alone.
At Panel Graphic, we use specialist coating technologies to help engineers and product designers get more from plastics.
Optiguard™ Clear is a high-performance abrasion and chemical resistant hard coating designed to protect acrylic, polycarbonate and other suitable plastic components.
It provides a clear/gloss finish while significantly improving surface durability.
Optiguard™ Non-Glare combines hard coating performance with a controlled matt/textured surface designed to diffuse reflected light and reduce distracting glare.
It’s particularly useful for displays and control panels operating in environments where reflections can affect readability.

Panel Graphic’s existing research and guidance distinguishes this type of diffused non-glare surface from true anti-reflection coatings.
